Just trying to lighten things up. (a little long but read it)

With all of these arguments going on I thought I would just put in perspective the way I see is.

For the big breeders out there:
You guys and gals are living the dream of most of us small timers making a living off of what we all love. Enjoy it! I know some of you have other jobs but some don't. I can't even imagine waking up in the morning knowing all I had to do was to clean up snake [bleep], weigh them, breed them, make sure they are breeding, go through a new shipment of BP from Africa that came in, and figure out what new morph to create.
I know its a lot of work. I could only imagine, I have 11 BP's and put about 2 hours a day into them, what thousands would take. But really, when I was growing up I thought being a proffesional golfer would be the life and probably put it at number 2 now, but I would trade the money for my love of these animals and the excitement of the trade. Have fun!

For the small timers:
We are the backbone of this industry/hobby. Reminds me of the way we talked in the army about us grunts. We are the future breeders and the one's aspiring to find that Yellow Belly going through thousands of snakes to possibly find that one that will get us in the game. Keep posting "is this a YB?" on KS. Don't sweat these guys that get pissed about it. Its amazing to me that some of these guys that have all of those morphs don't realize that the only reason those posts are put up are because we envy them and their collections so much and aspire to be in their shoes one day to trade with them.

Everybody relax and don't sweat the small stuff. Hey, it could be worse you could be in Iraq. I know I may be called up any day for that bullsh*t thats going on over there. Put it all in perspective. God bless all!

Just a little side note. There are a lot of big breeders out there that are wonderful to us little guys. I met Nigel from Renaissance Reptiles about a year ago and he is just a stand up guy who will talk your ear off about what to do and not to do. Even if it does not benefit him and his company. Its not all about the green for him. When he responds to my e-mails I listen like a little boy being spoken to by God himself.

Thats a good post I am new to writing in this forum but have read it for a long time. I have read alot of remarks made by the bigger breeders who were getting irritated by a question by somebody new to BP breeding . The big breeders need to realize that THEY WERE NEW TO BP BREEDING AT ONE POINT too and full of questions. So if you see a post of a question you've answered a thousand times and you dont want to answer it again dont because someone else will be happy to answer it. Have a good day all.

I have been reading this forum much longer than posting as well.
Since Pied hatchlings were 35k,i think, but only in the last six months or so did i begin posting. My perspective has seen many idiots($_$)come and go.(Did they just run across us on the net or what?(O_o)).After a few years of people wandering in and asking questions that i searched for(and got)i began to see their(old hands)perspectives as well.

Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between them and herper's of another species,or new keepers of a genuine interest,(in their first few post's anyway).

I hope nobody takes this as a negative post.As i only intended to be my open-minded,over-analytical self.

That's exactly what I was about to type I appreciate the help and advice that I've received from a lot of people the last couple of years, but Nigel is by far the one I owe my most sincere gratitude.

Bill, that's just people.

Last year I quit a band that was doing rather well. We had opened up for The Burdon Brothers (that guy from the Toadies), Pygmy Love Cicus (Danny Carey of TOOL fame/ the guys from Green Jelly), Tony C. and the Truth, Brant Bjork and the Bros. (Fu Manchu/ kyuss) and many more. It didn't matter what we did there was always somebody out there who thought what you were doing sucked. I'll tell you it is no fun to put your heart and soul up on the line and have anyone bash it to pieces, no matter how many people tell you other wise. So, I got back into my first love, reptiles (have had at least one in the house; up to 325; since I was 14. I'm 33 now).

And look at what I find. People being people.

Lets all try some thing new... Smile and read the posts out loud, it dose give a different connotation to the way things are interperated. Telemarketers are told to smile every time they pick up the phone. This makes them sound like nice people even though they may not be.

Bill made a good point for ALL of us to listen to.

The way I see it is the big time breeders are the government of this BP industry and run it well. Many of them , from what I have learned, created this business and did a great job. Thnak you for this! This post was not intended to take a shot at you guys.
I just thought it would be a good time to show my appreciation to every aspect of this industry. Big timers and small. Thanks guys for bringing this passion of mine to life. Keep it up and remember that we are all in this together. We have to make it grow in order to keep it going. If this industry fails there will be a whole lot of heart broken and lonely BP's. Good luck and God Bless to all.

Bill - I think it came out fine, but what about us "plain-old-non-breeding-hobbyist/snake lovers" ? LOL, Don't we deserve a shout out too?

Hey buddy,
Hope all is well in this busy season for you. You seem to be getting a lot of praise. And well deserved! Would love to hear from you. Understand if you just don't want to be involved in these types of posts for business purposes.

To all that think I may be Nigels neighbor. I'm not. Met him twice at the White Plains show and talked to him on the phone a couple of times and a couple of e-mails. I have only bought a Normal Male from him, about a year ago. I would trust him with any purchase and advise. Just trying to get out there the names of some great breeders to all.

Sorry for the seperate posts. Oh ya, how did they change my curse word to a bleep in my original post. That was kind of cool!

No more posts for the day. Have to cut back!

Hey Bill, you got off easy. Nigel usually talks both ears off. Lol. Just kidding Nigeeee. We missed yah at White Plains. I could barely make my way around the show it was so dark in there. We needed your 1,000 lights you use for your displays. Lol
