Is it ok to keep a colony of 1:2 male:female?
will the male harass the fems to death?

Yes it is possible. It depends on the personalities of the individual geckos. Some get along and some don't. If you put some together you just need to observe them closely over a period of at least several days to see if they are going to get along or kill each other. Even after you think they're getting along great, you should ALWAYS keep a look out for possible signs/sounds of fighting among a group.
