Switched over!

Well, today I got my Mud turtle to switch from eating all that live food to eating Reptomin! He is so tiny that he takes like 5 mins just to eat one little stick! It's so funny to watch him to try and pull that thing down then rip it apart with his little claws. I really can't believe that a WC turtle would be this strong of an eater! It's really cool to have him eating so well. He will even take food right from my fingers!

I told you so.

They make really interesting 'pet' turtles. They are incredibly responsive and some when captive raised, are very pretty.

well that's great. Its good to get them on pellets early. But don't base his diet hevily on these (especially not reptomin, some other pellets are better)Keep up with the other foods. try boiled chicken or canned fish as well.
