attentiveear Jan 18, 2005 12:34 PM

Hi there! I have been searching for the unusual (some say I'm crazy LOL) gold adult or gold female tegu. If anyone has any info, that would be very much appreciated! Oh, Russ, awesome pic of the sub-adult (or looks like) gold you posted below!

Thank you!

Greg

She's a beauty! 8" wow, with the girth on her, I was thinking she had to be around 16-18". :0) May I ask where you located her? Most of my golds came to me from the Mich. Reptile show from someone who really did not have a great knowledge about tegus, well herps in general which was sad. They of course were imports and slowly wormed them and flourished. The funny ting is though that each baby gold I obtained there was pretty calm and tame..........quite the unusual situaiton.

Take care Russ!

Got her from jane . This was the little gold she tookin last year with the eye problem. I have been battling a foot problem with her for two mounths. I tryed every thing, Navasan, baytrill oarl,Antibiotic shots, and orchid bark, cypress mulch, peat moss, coco bark ect. . Now Its cured ,HOW. buy using top soil from OSH. It has a higher PH , and quess what, It cured the foot problem . Go figure. take care Russ

Awesome work. She noted she sent a gold to you, though didn't put 2 and 2 together when i saw your pic of her. The topsoil I found also helps wit hshedding for some reason, versus only cypress mulch.........it holds moisture longer and perhaps acts like a healthing agent........just think of those mud baths and facials ladies receive? :0)
