Feeder insect sources?

Sybella Jul 05, 2003 01:19 AM

I'm looking online for a single site where I can order crickets, mealworms and waxworms in 100-500ct packages (bulk, not cups). I'd also like some silkworms too...I normally grow them myself every summer but I gave away too many of eggs last year and now don't have any for myself now. Oops!

I have 8 leos and running out to buy feeder insects a couple times a week is getting annoying...especially when the pet store is out of what I need. I've had to buy mealworms in the 50ct cups because they were all out of the big ones...and 50 mealworms don't last but a few days with 8 leos.

I've been doing some searches and found a few sites but most of them are priced so high that by the time I paid shipping too, I might as well have picked up the items from PetCo! Or, they don't let you mix and match in the smaller quantities I need.

Would those of you who breed leos and buy their feeder insects online, kindly recommend a few places for me to look at please?

They have treated me very well, and they offer most of what you are looking for.

www.wormman.com for your mealies, crickets, and waxies and www.mulberryfarms.com for your silkworms.

Grubco only wants about 17 bucks for 500 crickets shipped (www.grubco.com)

That's a lot better than 9 cents each at petco!! LOL!

That's ok, I found an even better one--www.reptilefood.com
They only want about 15 bucks shipped for 1000 crickets.
