How Big are your Cresteds?

Tumtum03 Jan 18, 2005 05:45 PM

I'm just curious who out there has the biggest crested gecko? I mean weight wise? I have a female that is 56 grams, and by far she is the biggest of my 34 I have. I was curious how big some of the ones out there are!

She was about 35g when I got her, I thought she was huge at 50g, but now she is about 59-60g!

That is the fattest crested I've EVER seen. LOL.

You better take her off the Peanut butter and 'nanner sandwiches.

You also might want to brace up a few of those branches.

Nice!!!

But she really is beautiful! Does she lay at that weight? Just wondering whether being that heavy affects her reproductive abilities....

it seems as though our society frowns upon humans that weigh in at 3-400 pounds or so... why is it good for a crested gecko?

sukieblur Jan 20, 2005 10:36 PM

That female is way overweight. I don't think that it is good to let them get that fat.

I got her first clutch the 4th of this month. Her eggs came out very healthy. They were slightly larger than the eggs I got from my 43g creamscicle but they are very healthy!

don't mean to be rude, but you DON'T have a creamsicle

That gecko might have a clinical problem......

damn thats big.....

That picture at that angle makes her look like a harlequin sausage with a tail attatched... Here is a different picture that shows that the weight is proportioned well....

What do you feed that thing, small children! Your crested is so fat it sat on a pair of eggs and an omlet pooped out. No, no your cresteds so fat she's got more nooks and cranies than a Thomas English muffin, no, no your cresteds so fat when she fell over she rocked her self to sleep trying to get up, No, no your cresteds so fat she gave her shell stretch marks. OK , ok I know I'm just being obnoxious but I couldn't resist. I cant wait till my females get um well close to that "plump"

Was 64g the day we brought her home, and now stays around 66-67 constantly. I wouldn't say it affects her reproductive system, she's messing around in her box right now. LOL.
