Eating prob? or Change of season?

leoman89 Jan 18, 2005 05:47 PM

I was wondering if my geckos have a eating problem or if its just because of the cold weather. I have 2 males one is over a year and the other is 8 months they are in seperate cages. They were eating fine until it started getting cold. My year old one is in a 20 gal long was eating every other night on mealworms and when it started getting cold he ate every two nights now he isnt eating. My 8 month old is in a 10 gal and stoped eating also when it got cold. So should i be worried or not? and i dont think the have lost any weight. (sorry that it was kinda long)

Sounds like brumation especially since they all seem to have stopped eating. I wouldn't worry about them unless you notice weight loss. Watch the temps and keep an eye on them and they should be fine.
