Well, My B&W arg. Tegu Morpheous is coming out of brumation. He is finally eating lots, still kind of hiding though. I feed him about every other day usually 2 large pinks/fuzzies or as many pinks as he can eat (if they are small, ya know, he always looks hungry!) Im hoping once he gets into his full blown "stay up all day everyday" mode I will feed him everyday, but as of right now I feed him when I see him out. His shed I am soaking in mineral oil once daily, hopefully it will come off soon (just retained shed on tail for those that dont know). I am thinking - He used to like grapes but now he is kind of iffy on them, but hey I will start those back up soon. I was wondering, would offering Sliced chicken/turkey mixed with calcium supplement (Minerall) work as a staple food as well?
Also - I am planning on breeding him/her in the future, but of course will plan on that when it comes along. Just curious, what kind of breeding tips do you have? Wheres the best place to introduce? Do they need to be living together when bred (im assuming not)?
Im moving Morpheous into his big cage once it is finished built (Im a procrastinator, I bought all the supplies I just need a few hours to make it!! We are pulling up the carpet and putting down linoleum in the basement so when that is done I can rearrange the cages and have room for Morpheous's big one.)
Thanks for all the help!
David
