Could anyone tell me about how old an 18 inch ball python would be? Thanks.

It all depends upon how well the snake has been fed. It could be a youngster in it's first year, but if it has not fed well, it could even be 3 or 4 years old. You will need to find out the history of the snake to get an accurate age.

3 to 4 years and still 18 inches? That seems a little impossible to me. There are baby BP that are 18 inches (about 45 cm) when hatching! But it's true that it depends on the way he/she has been feeding.
I have a BP that's now 3 months old and 24 inches (61 cm).
I guess yours is not older than 6 months.
