Installing a Radiant Heat Panel

Burmaboy Jan 18, 2005 08:44 PM

I am in the process of attaching my Pro Products RHP to my snakes large enclosure ( 8ft).
I bought the panel ages ago while waiting for my cage to be delivered.
Since that time, I have forgotten where to install the panel.
I remember it being something like 2 ft in from the edge of the hot side, ( I do remember to attach to the ceiling and this will produce a gradient over the entire cage.
I was talking with Bob from Pro Products at a show on Sat, you think I would have remembered to ask him then? And emails to him with this question have'nt made it back yet.
Anyone have some guidelines to install this thing? I'm sure someone here has one in an 8ft cage.
Thanks for any help!
Bob

I dont believe theres a specific spot where it "should" be placed, but you'll want it on the hot side, on a flat part of the top of the enclosure.

Are you using other heating elements as well? That would make a difference. But in my experience I've only needed the RHP's. Mine are Pro-Products as well. I love them.
