The large horizontal commercial fridge I have in the garage that I use to hiberate my torts went on the fritz this weekend so I had to bring them inside the house in my regular fridge. I called someone out to look at the fridge, but he said it was too old and worn out and would cost more to fix than to replace. The guy had a thick Australian accent and was funny as hell. He was fascinated by the tortoises because they don't have them in Australia. I showed him how I hiberante them and showed him my baby Cal. desert torts. He was so fascinated with them and appreciated me showing them to him that he didn't charge me the normal "house call" charge, which was 35 bucks.
Now I just have to find another used tortoise fridge.
