Have you ever thought of combineing the Harlequin Gene into anerys and then adding that to your pastels? Does anyone think this is a good idea? I have been considering getting a harlequin for my anery.

Yes Chris, I have thought about this for a while now... making cleaner, bolder, and more 'hypo/pastelish' looking Anery's, besides all the aberrancies and striping it would add!

I think we will have new 'degrees' of Anery - even some that look like or possibly better than some Ghosts!

We WILL get an Anery that actually gets better with age, and not one that turns into a big, dark Central or Argentine looking animal.

I think that there is still an unlimited number of things that can be done with the Harlequin Gene.

I believe that when people breed them and realize what they can produce and how they can improve ANYTHING you have, I think the price will jump up considerably.

Considering the prices of similar morphs out there, and/or other dually 'co'-dominant animals, I think this is one of the most undervalued animals out there - PERIOD!

Thanks for your post Chris.
Maybe we can be making these together some day.

Take care, Joe Rollo - Bci Joe

(If I could, I would post some Harley pics here..)

My anery is sitting in his cage waiting for a female. He is an '01 and still hasn't bred. I guess it is due to my fault of not getting him a girl. I will have to get some pics of him. Once you see him you will understand why I had the idea of a harlequin female.

Because I'd have to call the babies pastels!! MUHAHAHAHAA LOL! (You guys KNOW I'm just messing with you. Right?? Guys?? Why's my phone ringing?? LOL!)

Alright......I'm ok now.
My feeling is that adding the Harli gene into anything would make a better the product. I think your idea would be a ROCKIN one! I am getting giddy just thinking of the possibilities. Ghost Harlis, Pastel Harlis, Harli anerys.........
Thanks, I'll be high off this all day.
Now, I just wish I had a pair of them.
