When I feed mine from a dropper (or the tip of a syringe w/o the needle) I usually just put one drop of the food/liquid on the lizard's "lips." He will probably lick it off right away. If not, turn your hand or rotate your body from side to side. For some reason, and I don't quite know why, this will usually stimulate them to lick. (It is rarely, if ever, necessary for me to have to pry the mouth open.) Then, once they start licking it you just keep putting drops on the lips and the lizard will drink until he needs to take a breath. Make sure you let him take a breath after a short while or he may aspirate. If he gapes and gasps then stop for a few minutes before you give him more.
