Typically they are both of the same difficulty to keep, but for one reason or another U. phantasticus are more commonly bred...

More people want phantasticus. The look more "exotic," atleast thats what I've been told by numerous people. Kinda stupid if you ask me.
I personally prefer ebanaui. Thats why I only chose three to pairs to work with. I will definitely be gettting more though.

phants are the esist to breed by far my gorup of ebans just dont seem to wnat to breed at all, or if they do i get infertile eggs. i am going to try some new things to entice breeding.

as far as enticing breeding....i have had a male for about 8 or 9 months now and he never showed any interest in females. about 2 months ago, i decided to put everyone together, in the hopes that having more males around would increase their territoriality and/or breeding. the past few nights, suddenly this male has started showing interest. i think i might try housing more males together to see if this continues to work, and its something others might wanna try out as well. thats also why ive been looking for a 2nd male corkbark in order to influence the male i already have to be more active with the females. we'll see if i can get another....
