I'm just wondering who feeds their dumerils prekilled or frozen. I heard they are really hard to switch and younger ones are really hard. Mine eats prekilled mice, and I gave her a rat tonight.

My 3 all eat prekilled rats. I used to feed my male prekilled mice but he seems to like the rats better. I started my little girl out on pinkie rats (for her first ever meal) which she took w/o any problems. The first time I was unable to get pink rats she took a prekilled mouse but I had to tap her on the nose a couple of times to get her to eat it. Everytime since I have tried to give her a mouse she has refused and held out for her rat. My male has occasionally taken thawed rats but prefers fresh prekill.
Mine eats pre killed rat fuzzies but she wont eat in the open, you have to put it infront fo her hide and she onyl eats sometimes durring the day. She mostly eats at night
My male was like that til he was about four or five. For the first couple of years I had to cover his cage and make sure there were no lights also. Now he takes prekilled off of tongs.
