so it's been a while now...

Joe Jan 19, 2005 07:19 PM

I have been quite busy with school and work, so I haven't been on here in a long while. I noticed there was a picture of Lyle on here (one of my old dragons) and he looks great! Good to hear!

Anyways, I still have link (CB, about 4 yrs old now), lucky (CB, almost 6 yrs old), and houdini (the female who got out of the tank when all doors were shut...still don't know how it happened...WC, about 3 years old). They are all doing great despite me not having too much time to keep their tank perfect. Lucky is starting to show some signs of old-age, like being a little more lazy than normal Well, I am on here again posting to see if anyone was interested in taking them off my hands. I feel bad not having enough time to give them the attention they deserve, and I know everyone on here is trustworthy to take care of them. I am moving out of my apartment in june, and would like to not have to put them through the stress of moving again. Go ahead and post here, or email me at joebradbury@comcast.net if you are interested in any or all 3 of the dragons.

great to see so many people getting eggs and taking care of these dragons so well on here...keep up the good work with them!

Tripod is doing well, but he is my ONLY dragon left, my kids have asked me to stop buying them, because they feel so BAD when one dies
but he is doing well

Thought you might like to know all that

You do know his Leg was Disrticulated by the vet when the circulation in his foot went bad, right?
He came through it well, then he got away from me at a Ren faire, and hid in the wall of a building for a few days. This girl who works there caught him, and saved him. he is now Lord of all he Surveys from atop his Magnolia tree

great to hear tripod is doing well...sounds like he gave you quite a scare before! Also glad to hear that you found a good vet.

As for the kids not wanting to have anymore of them die, I completely understand. it's always a little more tragic for a younger child when something like that happens.

I think when I move into my new apartment I might turn my 100 gallon tank into a fish tank and have a largemouth-bass housed in there. a lot less maintenance and I think it would be really neat having it in my bachelor pad they are a lot of fun to watch eat, kinda like the MHD's.

Marcia, I also wanted to know if the A. armata's are still around and how they are doing if they are. congrats on the F2's also, I checked our your website to see what you had for sale, cause I might get some babies when I move into the new place if I decide not to do the largemouth bass.

hope everything is well with everyone on here!

The armatas are doing great. The male lost his top horns, one due to a little weigh-in struggle the other for unknown reason, but otherwise they are great. The male is quite feisty most of the time but actually let me pick him up a couple of times without as struggle. I think he has learned that I bring the goodies!! LOL!! I have some great shots of them both eating roaches. I keep meaning to post them but I have so little free time anymore. I'll have to email them to you when I get them cleaned up.

I do still have lots of babies under a year of age. I am not going to have anything hatch next year and have cut back to one group of capra so that I can start working more with the armata and lepidogaster pairs. I have a young pair of leps and am anxious to have something happen with both of these subs. I have mostly passed the ball on the capra to some of the other people out there who were interested in breeding them.

If you decide you want a pair let me know and I'll cut you a good deal since you gave me such a break on the armatas.

Hey Joe! I've still got the female I got from you last winter. She laid a clutch of 13 just a few weeks ago, and has been packing her weight back on.

That is great news, I am glad she is doing well! looks like you have 2 males and 1 female, is that right? If you are looking for more females I have 2 more if you are interested. You are taking good care of the female you got from me it appears, so you are definitely trustworthy enough to take any of my others.

Actually, I have to update that. I acquired another female a couple weeks ago. I don't have space for another, unfortunately, especially with college coming up fast. The new girl is quite a.....scarlet, if you know what I mean
