Sad Ending...Eastern Milk Snake escapee

HerperHelmz Jan 20, 2005 06:15 AM

lol just playing, it was a pretty good ending in my book. I was getting ready to feed my amel cali king, but while thawing the mice in my hands(thaws them quicker), I dropped one, and accidently stepped on it lol. No worries though, my snapping turtles will eat anything
So I went back to clean up the rest of the pinky, and I heard something moving on a brown paper bag near my turtle tanks. I look down and see the milk snake, I grabbed it and struck at me lol, I guess he wasn't as glad to see me as I was to see him.

So I put him a new enclosure, a 10 gal. tank that he's sharing with a northern slimy salamander that's about 5 inches long. Well, after he settled down last night and drank alot of water, I gave him 2 pinky mice, which he gladly took from me with no problems.

... for the salamander! Aren't you afraid the eastern milk will eat it?

lol, if the milk snake doesn't eat it, it's either going in the freezer for a ringneck snake in the spring, or it's going to survive in the tank with the milk snake, and then it's going to get eaten by a ringneck in the spring anyhow. Either way, it's getting eaten by some sort of snake.
