corkbark owners question

uroplatusguy Jan 20, 2005 10:14 AM

hi i was justy wondering how many people out there have corkbarks adn has anybody noticed any breding behavior? the behavior i noticed last night was my male tasting (licking) the air, bobbing his head and chirping, and the female sticking tail straight in the air and waving it from side to side. male did not wave his tail at all and kept on licking, bobbing and chirping. this went on for about an hour or so till the male mounted the female so i hope i can get some babies soon. just wondering what anyone ese has notciced and was wondeering how many corkbark owners there are.

i have 1.2 corkbarks and unfortunately i havent seen any copulation, but i have seen what i think is some breeding behavior from my females. i have noticed the tail waving a few times in the past, and chirping as well, but most of that activity comes from the females. as far as the males tasting the air, i have noticed that from my phantasticus as part of their breeding behavior, of course with some tail-waving as well. the past 2 nights i have seen my male phant following my female, and he follows her for a considerable amount of time, often licking the back end of her tail as he follows. from what it sounds like, you might have some eggs in a month or so. good luck!

Brad Teague @ Geckos by Brad has successfully bred them, hatched, and raised atleast one baby that I know of. That was a year ago. He probably has info that would be useful to you .
