Damn!! I just got a fine from the state.....

I was selling some of my 04 Rainbow Boa offspring to a local pet store and the state fined me for not having a wholesalers permit. It sucks because they came to my house and fined me again because I have a mangrove snake. I've had the Mangrove for almost 8 years and I didn't realize that you can't have them when I moved here 2 years ago.

Anybody else ever get fined? The officer said both tickets carry a fine from $250-$5000 each! I have to go to court because of the Mangrove. At least I'm not alone, the pet store was getting a fine also. The officers weren't nasty or anything, the one told me that they are cracking down because of somebody who go bite by his Gaboon viper. Anybody else hear about this?

How did the state get your name and how did they track you down? Also, what pet store did you sell to? Did they get caught up in something and sell you down the river?
