Hi there,
I just wondered how many keepers of cork-bark/spiny uroplatus there are here?

Hi there,
I just wondered how many keepers of cork-bark/spiny uroplatus there are here?
Justin
Hello, I have not posted to this list before, but this seemed like a good time to start. I have a pair of cork-barks which I just got last week, and a pair of henkeli which I have had for a while. The cork-barks were smaller than I expected, but much more active then the others. They are fun to watch at night.
Tanya
Hi,
Thanks for replying. Do you have any pics of your corkies? Where did you get them from?
Justin
Here is picture of one of the pair. I am not sure which this was. It is hard to take pictures of an animal you don't really want to touch. I got them at Reptile Depot. They are both active and eating well.
Tanya

Do you have any?
Tanya
Unfortunately I don't have any.
Altough I'm trying like hell to get a pair. I live in the UK and they are rarely offered for sale here. Do you have any more pics?
Why don't you want to touch it?
Justin
I was trying to avoid touching them much because they are wild caught and I am trying to avoid stressing them. Especially since I have only had them about a week. They do seem to be getting on very well though. I see them eating and moving around all the time (well, at night). I almost never see the henkeli's move at all. I do have a couple of other pictures, but I will have to upload them from my home computer.
Tanya
Are you quarantining them and de-pararsitizing them ok?
How old are they?
If you don't want to uploda the pics you could e-mail them to me.
Justin
I don't really know how old they are. I am not even sure how big they get when they are full grown. Does anyone else know? I have decided not to try to kill their parasite load. I have heard both sides of the argument, and have decided not to medicate them. They will always be isolated from the other Uroplatus in the house. They are kept in the same room though. I only have one room which I air condition to keep cool enough for them.
Tanya
I'm a keeper of 1 male cork bark leaf tail but am currently looking for a female also.
Do you have any pics?
Justin
Yes they are already on the forum but i will take some more at night.
