great work... you and the geckos!

well i still have the one egg from thanksgiving, which should be hatching sometime in the next few weeks. ill be keeping a close eye on it. one weird thing is that its very dark colored, which it seemed to be from the beginning, aside from the fact that it was pretty well-covered in peat moss. i dont know if the egg might be bad, or if its just the color of the embryo since both parents were pretty dark. time will tell, but these two new eggs are plump and pearly, so in about 3 months hopefully ill have some nice new additions to the collection, and most importantly im hoping for a female this time so ill be able to work on some f2's in a couple of years. time consuming but OH SO EXCITING!

just took a look, and the female responsible for the eggs is copulating with my beautiful male otis, should produce some really nice mottled patterns. cant wait for more eggs!!!!

thanks. i won a photo contest with that on another site

one more note...
contrary to what the uroplatus book says ive usually seen my phantasticus use neck bites in copulation. anyone else notice this? i've also noticed head and body twitching, which my crested geckos also do.
