yeah, like i said, my female's father was yellow and her mother was black so i know she has the yellow gene. When i got the male, i never saw his parents, just 4 of his siblings. They were all black, but some were sold aready, so he may have had a few yellow brothers or sisters as well, i dont know. I'm not too worried about the color, i'm just glad that they're doing so well. I do think its neat the i got 4 blacks and 4 yellows though. I've always had a lab in my parents house since the day i was born. Now that i live on my own, i'm always going to have a lab for as long as i live. I just love Labs. Both dogs are pure breed, and the male is AKC registered pointer Lab. i live in Iowa and a lot of people like labs for hunting dogs or family dogs, so i'm not gonna have any problems selling them although i'm probably gonna keep one of the yellow females and give my little brother the 2nd pick of the litter. I know they're a lot of work but i get to have tons of fun with them for the next 7-8 weeks. Thanx for all the comments everybody, i'll post pictures and updates as they grow.
