Candoia temps

Mickejswe Jan 21, 2005 07:15 AM

Hello everyone, im thinking about buying myself a pair of candoia, i havent decided yet which species i want to get and i´ll guess i will have to wait to see whats available on the upcoming reptile-expos here in sweden.
I would be happy to get hold of a pair of C.aspera and im wondering about the temps and air humidity for them, are there a general temps, air humidity that i can use in all candioa care?

Thanks for any answers`

Bast regards

Hi Michael,
I could be answering in swedish but thats not very nice to all of the others.

I think definitly you should add some pacific boas to your collection.
I keep mine at an air temperature of 27 degree celsius whit a heating pad at 31 degrees. The Humidity in my snake room is around 60-70 %. This seem to work fine for all of the candoia species i have worked whit.

It´s very hard to find candoias for sale in sweden and asperas are never available. The only ones i have seen in the past are paulsoni offsprings from my clutches. I have only 4 Halmaheras left from this summer but they wont be sold until they are accepting pinkies as food.

Good luck,
Fredrik Averback
