NM Pryo

I am going to be in Las Cruses this comming may for a week and was wanting to do a little field herping/photography while I was out there. I have never been herping in NM befor so I was doing a little research now. My first question is about the time. Is may to early or cool? My target animals are pryo and leps, should I hunt at night or daytime? I know I will need an out of state hunting lisc. and there is a "Bag limit" but I was looking for more detail. If you would rather e-mail me I would love to chat with anyone. Or if you work with NM Pryo or C.l.kaluberi I would love to chat about your projects as well.
