mex mex test photo

Aaron Jan 21, 2005 12:10 PM

This is a test photo of one of my cb '04 mex mex from the Galvans. I have 2.1 from them. This one is pretty busy looking with split saddles and speckled sides. They produced something like 7.1 and this female was the only busy one the others looked more typical.
I just got a new computer and have not learned to use the photo editing program so I apoligize if this comes out too big.

This is an adult male of a pair I bought as babies in 1996 from a vendor at the San Diego show. He said they were Ruiz/Applegate line. I consider this a classic looking mex mex.

This is the female of the cb '96 pair that I got at the San Diego show, also said to be Ruiz/Applegate line. I never asked whether they were related but this pair has produced some babies with long striped nuchals like she has. At least one I remember was even more striped than her but I never kept any of her offspring.

The first one is my favorite. I love the splitbands and busy pattern. It kinda reminds me of Soderberg's speckled mex mex he used to breed. I think Don Shores has them now. I gotta get some.
The other two are great as well. I like the nuchal stripe, but have not been able to produce any that nice.
Let me know when you have some offspring.
Thanks for the great pics,

That's very nice! Glad to see some people playing with mex mex in the last few years. IMHO they are highly under rated.
