are apples okay

honeybee Jan 21, 2005 12:27 PM

I bought some really nice organic apples at the store the other day, and thought I'd like to share some with my RES. But is it okay to give them apples? I know some things like spinach are not safe. She loves other greens, carrots, bananas, etc. but I never read anything about apples being safe. I wish there was a comprehensive, reliable list somewhere that I could print so I would know what is okay to give her.

the lists are all silly. they say no spinach and stuff like that. really, res can eat anything that isnt just plane poisonus. the thing with spinach is you just have to give them extra calcium. apples are fine for one of the things you uses. all fruits are fine. all greens are fine. all veggetable are fine. all worms bugs slugs snails crayfish fish meats are fine. if you totally use everything and make sure they have plenty of calcium, thats the best.
