,.........yes...80 some species.....yes jerboas are not gerbils or related.....
and I have looked at alot of these and have yet to find any that are near the western part of Africa at all...
I'll keep looking.....
maybe Peromyscus leucopus and chinese hamsters smell like gerbils too........yep
