Its so big and it already shed and it hasnt been out of the egg for 24 hours!! I cant wait to get more!!!! Ill try to get pics soon! Just curious how many people on this form have actually hatched out Henkeli?????? Thanks Erik

I used a hovabator since my new incubator isnt done yet, But I wish that I used the incubator that I built as the hovabator didnt keep the temps the same 24/7. The temp was 73-80. But they hatched and my new incubator is almost done. I love these little guys! Thanks Erik

73-80 is quite a range. How long did they incubate?

slitherstud Jan 22, 2005 07:51 PM

well they started to incubate on 9-23-04 and just hatched on 1-20-05 117 days. And actually I only saw the temp. go to 80 one time, the rest of the time it was on the lower part of the scale. They are perfect though! I couldnt be happier. And I am actually looking for some more females but none came in on this last shipment and not many people are selling them! Thanks Erik

Congrats for sure... Try to get us some close ups... Mine have taken on avg 5 months to hatch... I use lower temps 68-72 would be my range... There are pics on my file if you are interested...

YA the lower the temp the less likely you are to have deformeties( I know I didnt spell that right) I hear. As for close ups, um.. My camera is kinda crapy I had to take 20 pics to get one good one! I know have the money to buy a nicer camera so when I do I will deffinatly have some other pics up here! Hey Bsmith251 do you ever sell any adult females? And you have some nice looking Henkeli's there! Thanks Erik

Ya, thanks. They are both doing great, they each shed right after hatching and are actually both taking crickets already!!!

And yes more pics are better. I will be buying my-self a nicer new camera soon and when I figure out how to use it I will have pics here first!

Thank you and I wish you alot of luck with yours!! Erik
