>>I have two poor looking chameleon that I had to rescue from this pet store, and am not sure what I have. Can anyone help? They were in really bad shape, and I couldn't just leave them in that situation. One has a swollen wrist, and both are very thin. I can send a digital photo if anyone feels confident in the identification skills.

Ok, forst off let me say that your heart was in the right place. That being said, unfortunately you may have doomed more chams to the same fate. You're prolly wondering why. Well, the dealer doesnt care if you bought the chams to get them away from him/her. A sale is a sale and money is the same regardless of motives. In his/her mind, he has just sold a couple chams that he had in bad conditions and got positive feedback(you're buying them). He'll prolly fdo it again until
A. people stop buying from him
B. Someone tells him just what they think of his present reptile conditions(many reptile dealers DO NOT like to hear this). I don't know why; I would especially if it could help the animal. This is my opinion and I am not an animal right activist but do feel that animals should not be mistreated deliberatly.
