Broken finger nail

eagle Jul 05, 2003 01:33 PM

Hey guys my female Panther Chameleon has a broken nail on her front hand. She recently laid 25 infertile eggs and did lots of digging. She looks very healthy, and shows no signs of MBD. Has anyone else seen this, is this a sign of concern? Will the nail grow back? Your thoughts appreciated.

Hi-

If the nail fell off, most likely it will not grow back, if it was cut or broke it might grow back. If the bone broke you could have problems with infection. Watch for the foot to swell if this happens see a vet. Hope this helps!
