Great ETB...the melanistic Northerns look so incredible in the sunlight....I have never seen a photo that ever does them justice.....

You think this is a melanistic?
At the time as i got this beautuful snake, i don´t knew, that it would become so beautiful. Her age is now 2 years. After building out the colour of the adult stadium she was almost green. The black and the yellow she got in the last six months!! I´m hoping it will get more and more by growing bigger!!

maybe its more of the "granite" phase after checking your website....are those black scales or very dark green interspersed with the yellow? In any event, its quite unique and I am sure, once again, difficult to appreciate in photos.
When I first saw the photos of Nicoli's melanistic Basin and Northerns I was not impressed....when I saw them I was in awe and could not believe how intense the contrasts of colors were, especially his Basin...anyhow, here is a link to the corallus site with photos of the different morphs..what would you call it?

I think it looks more like a granite!
I knew the pictures of corallus.com !!
Time will tell us if it gets more to granite or to melanistic. I will post mor pictures here in a few months then we will see.
Do you know where i can get a granite male an what are the prices for that??

If you are looking for dark phase from USA, you should contact either Tony Nicoli or Matt(Ghi reptiles) and I assume you have their websites/contact numbers. I doubt there are any available melanistic ETBs in USA that the 2 of them are not aware of (LOL).....I imagine the price would be pretty high (offset a little by the strong euro)....I would think mating your granite to a true melanistic would give the most unique offspring

So you think i will get no granite or melanistic in germany??
...so i have breed my female wiht the male that i have already at home. It´s a patternless boy and i hope the offspring will be unique too. I will try to breed in about one year, then they are 3 years old.
How "high" do you expect the price in dollars (for a granite or a melanistic)?

1)I have no idea what is available in Germany, BUT, I am often amazed at the high quality of locale specific green tree pythons
German collectors have so I imagine you mucst have some knowlegable importers.
2)I have no idea what the price of granite phase or melanistic phase will be since NONE seem to be available now.....right now the market seems a little "soft" here in USA and the price on some good quality CBB northerns and Basins has certainly gone down (same with GTPs).
I think your patternless and granite phase would be a GREAT way to go...should be very very interesting.....

Hey Tom,

Beautiful animal you have there. There is actually someone in Germany that breeds 'Black' emeralds because I have seen pics before. My three 'Black' basins came from Germany and I have seen pics of two more that are there so you might be able to do some checking around! Here is a pic of one of my animals.

They actually all belong to me and between Tony being one of my best friends and him having mind blowing males he is currently housing 5 of my adult females. I'll tell ya, we have some very cool stuff happening and will have some insane stuff in the future!
