What happens when Crested Gecko Diet Expires??....more

kidcrazee82 Jan 22, 2005 03:34 PM

I went to a local big chain pet store and found bottles of crested diet at $1.49 each, naturally at that price I bought them all. They expire 02/2005 and I was wondering how much nutritional value is lost after the exp. date. thanks in advance. -Joe

All the ingredients are completely dry, so I imagine that it would be fine for at least another six months. If it said Feb. 2004, you might be a little concerned, but there's nothing to say that it goes bad on the day it expires.

If you bought a lot and think it'll last you more than a few months, I'd go ahead and put some of them in the freezer to prolong their shelf live.
