A few new pics...

wetceal Jan 22, 2005 06:16 PM

I got done with cleaning for the day a little early so I figured I would snap a few photos of some boas since it's been a while! It was cloudy today so I decided to try these photos outside. They can out pretty nicely...

Coral Albino

Female Jungle Boa

Thanks for looking,

You have an amazing collection. Has your arabesque shown any interest in breeding yet? I remember you metioning that you weren't sure if she would go this year or not. Out of curiosity, how big is she? Weight?

Thanks,
Matt Crabe

I actually put my male Jungle in with my female Arabesque a couple of weeks ago and he jumped on her right away and started courting her. I checked on them a few hours later and he wasn't locked up with her but one of his hemipenes was out. So he had either just copulated with her and I missed it or he was trying very hard to.

She is currently about 5 1/2 to 6 feet long and weighs approximately 20 pounds or so. I'm not sure if she'll produce anything for me this season so we'll have to see. If not, there'll always be next season!

Thanks,
Celia

Pictures I have seen that shows what a jungle's color's are like in real life! I was stunned when I first saw them in person, at how VIVId the colors are.
I'm too jealous to comment further... *bites lip, and weeps*

Of course it's my opinion, I said it, didn't I?

That's one of the things I love so much about these guys...how "crisp" and vivid their coloration is! It can be quite difficult to capture in photos and there's nothing like seeing them in person. I'm looking forward to breeding this girl to my Jungle male and producing some Supers in the future! I can't wait till she grows up!

Thanks,
Celia
