Heating a ball enclosure?

Chameleon996 Jan 22, 2005 07:13 PM

I have a melamie (SP) cage that is 5'lx2'dx3'h with plexi doors. This is going to be my first snake and I'm not sure about heating. I won't use heat rocks, all my lizards are heated from above with lights. For my beardies I use regular flat rocks heated from above with the appropriate spot light to get the right temp. Will this work for my ball?

well, I use a heat pad and two over head red bulbs ,but in the summer i need to turn some off,but i have a much smaller cage and i keep two in it that cage won't be easy to heat since its that big.so i suggest that you use over head lights. good luck, restless_gambit
