just had to share...I'm not crazy about the crix, had no problem with them till I started keeping a swarm for the lizards...so I invented a way to feed but don't really touch...I pick up the paper towel rolls and shake crix into a sandwich baggie...I can control how many crix are in tank at a time as well...then I shake crix into tank...well tonight Smaug and I made great hunting partners...he has learned what the baggie means dinner! so he gets excited when he sees it...half the time the crix don't even get far before he's eaten them...only problem was with his light out during feeding now and then he'd think it was bedtime and go to the corner where he sleeps...solved this by shining a flashlight ...also helps him see the crix since that area of room is a little dark without his light on...
also find it adorable how within minutes of his light going out he goes to bed and always in the same spot...much easier to get to sleep then children...lol
