Wow, my females must be ready to burst, I just weighed her last night and she is 66.7 grams, seems a little large
I still can't tell if they are pregnant or gravid, or whatever word i'm searching for. Its as if they all have two white bumps right above there lower legs, now is that where I should be seeing the eggs develop? Now the female thats 66.7 grams has two large white spots, i'll take that as being eggs...now I have 4 others that (excluding my fat one) that seems to have the same developments right above the lower legs. How long does it take for them to pop them out, its seems like FOREVER!
Another question, I have a Zip Loc container in there probably 10"X6"X4" and I have vermiculite in there (moistened) and I added a little red sand with it(the kind at pet shops you use as the bottom, with calsium and stuff...), now I was wondering if this was ok as a "lay" box...I cut out a hole big enough for them to get in, and have no holes at the top so it stays humid in there (should I poke a couple in the top?), because the first time I wasn't ready, and my female laid right on the damn sand and the eggs are hard and seems like they aren't gonna make it, trust me...this pisses me off, but I wasn't aware she was even gonna lay. And also, I have heat pads under the cages, so I put the lay box somewhat on top of them so it keeps warm in the lay box. How does that sound? Boy I can't wait to get my rack systems from boaphile...they deserve the nice stuff if you know what I mean!
Now after they lay eggs, should I keep it warm in the cage? What do you guys do with yours? I have read everything I could find, trust me! Do you breed them again back with the males?
Another issue with me is that my Levis aren't wanting to breed it seems...they don't seem interested in each other...its weird! They seem to ignore one another. But thats not really a worry to me.
Thanks,
Ken
