Where have all the Mata Matas gone?

I keep mostly snakes and lizards,so I'm not as much into the turtle thing as I was a year or so back...
But it seems about a year or two ago, there were a lot of Mata Mata Turtles for sale. All sizes.
All prices. I have'nt seen many ads at all for them in quite some time.Occasionally you'll see an ad or two.
Sometimes none. Where have all these turtles gone?
