I like my breeders to be at least 50g before I breed them. Many people will say 40g but I like mine being a little bigger.

I do the 45g rule.
40g is to small, i don't see how you could get an egg out of a little 40g girl.
Also, about 14 months, or even a year if you feed them real good.
