Beardie Question

sams43 Jan 23, 2005 01:05 PM

This is my first winter with my beardie and i just recently moved him into a new cage and ever since the cage switch he has barely been eating. He will eat about 4 or 5 crickets a night and mayb a bite of greens. He loves his new cage and spends all day running around so im not thinking he is sick , but he has just not been eating like he normally does. i put him in his feeder tank and he seems to have not intrest in the crickets all around him. Could it be because its winter? Like i said this is my first winter with him so its a new time for me.

thanks for any help

sam

Since this is winter, he may be in a brumation period. But then again, he might still be getting used to the habbitat. I suggest you get a fecal test done ASAP.

He is eating a lil better now, but still not back to normal. he is still really active and has gone into a shed. if it is because of the winter months when do u think he should be back to normal??

thank you all for all the help.
