In response to your post below with the pics of the adult Blaze Phaze. The juveniles are definitely nice looking animals. But I think the adults are simply ugly. They look like a dirty, muddy pinkish brown coloration. Not attractive at all in my opinion. Not sure if that is how they really look but that is how i see them in the pictures. Anyway, I really like the whiter specimens. I wonder why people aren't breeding more of those. A patternless specimen that is nearly white is probably the prettiest Apalachicola King I can think of.

TonyD is the one who posted the adult Blaze.

I agree, I think the axanthic types are awesome, and the whiter specimens have nice contrast. the Adult blaze phase dont' do much for me personally, but I haven't seen one in person...

I agree for the dollars that they ask for them they arent very attractive. As babies they are exceptional but are very average looking adults.

P.s. Rainer is right Tony posted pics of adults while hdean had younger animals.

Whoops! You're right. Guess I got confused with all these "goini" posts recently.

I agree with you. The reason I posted the pics is to be honest with what was happening with my 1.3 and to show their color for now so the person who originally posted could see a semi adult. Maybe they will get better but only time will tell. I am very disappointed with the growth and color on these for the price though. I, however, aren't that impressed with most adult Goini anyway. Most aren't that attractive. I wouldn't buy any more myself unless I saw the actual adults producing them and then only for a little more than what normal Goini brings. Brooski are the way to go. I also agree that they are OK looking, but not worth so much extra cash. I have seen 30 and 40 dollar Goini that turn out as attractive adults. They are not too similar to the Blaze but still....I personally would be happy with a nice normal pair for under 100 bucks that predictably become average looking as they mature as opposed to spending a lot of extra cash and holding my breath hoping I invested my cash in a pair of Blaze that may not turn out to produce anything too special looking. I think the actual Goini X Brooksi crosses are much more attractive. I would like to see some crosses with the Blaze though, that may produce healthier and better looking offspring if the Blaze is indeed a sort of "weak" line. Tom Stevens

Thanks for sharing your pics. Too bad the adults don't hold that red because the juveniles really are stunning. And as far as adult "goini", I prefer the ones with more contrast...like a very wide banded specimen with dark interbands. Or the very highly speckled ones and of course the patternless phase. I think the normals are much prettier than these albino, axanthic, lavender ones we've seen pics of on here recently. I've got a thing for that normal, natural look I guess.
