using heat tape?????????

I am going to build a new rack for my ball pythons! tha boxes are 36 by 18 by 12 or around that! I was thinking of usin 11" heat tape! will this heat the boxes right?how warm does this heat tape get?

Paul,

I use 11" heat tape for the racks I built myself.

I set it up for use as belly heat, on Ranco thermostats.

I did test the tape to make sure it functioned properly before final installation.
Plugged in just laying open on the floor my Raytek gun read 110-120 degrees.

It will get hotter once placed in the rack, since the air flow around it will be more constricted.

You will need to regulate it with your favorite technique.
