hey i know i am slightly dense. can anyone help me? im going to try and make a rack system, i just dont know where to put the flexwatt tape at, do i put it on the shelving piece under the boxes, or on the back of the shelves facing the back of the boxes or do i put it on the individual boxes? and where do i put the thermostat or rheostat probe at? crimsonwolf tried to help me, and thank you very much, but i got confused so any help would be gratefully appreciated! thanks

It really depends on what your trying to do. If your room teps are about 75 or higher you can go back heat and put the flexwatt on the back wall of the rack. If you want belly heat then you put in under the tubs and cover it with foil tape to protect against rubbing. The thermostat probe will go inside one of the tubs either on the back on right above the heat tape depending on where you dedice to place it. Also you can put it directly on the flexwatt itself and adjust the tstat accorging to the temps in the tub. Just FYI rheostats/dimmers do not have a probe... Hope this helps,-MG

thanks, i had gotten a little bit overzealous and forgot how rheostats worked, but i meant just to say thermostat, anyways, thanks that helps, i think that placing it under the tub would work best in my situation, seeing as i live downstairs in my house and its a bit cooler down here than upstairs, and so i just stick the tape to the shelve and then put the foil tape on top of it between the tub and flexwatt itself?

My herp room is also in my basement but the room is heated. Yeah sounds lie you got it.. Feel free to mail me if you ahve any other questions,
