Male vs Female?

toiletoctopus Jan 24, 2005 12:55 AM

Just wondering if anyone knows an answer to this, or if it doesn't make a difference. Is it better to purchase a male or female, and is there a difference in their temperment? Also, is there much of a size difference? Thanks for any help.

I havent noticed a difference in either...
If it was me i would buy a female..females are easier to sell than males in my opinion..should you need to do that someday

Male corns will get bigger. I have had a couple get to five feet. Females I have had aren't that size. Generally I don't think their temperments vary that much. Males will more likely go off food in winter.

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?

I have a female amel and a ghost male. My male went off feeding a few months ago and was real restless. Some advise I got was my male is at breeding size so was looking for a mate. They are both real calm when it comes to handling otherwise.

The breeder that I got my snake from said that males are typically longer and skinnier, and females are larger around.
