At last! A new nigrita...

I finally managed to find a really nice looking Mexican Black Kingsnake. This time what I got is a male, though I would have preferred a female I'm not too put aside about it. Actually, I'm not quite positive about it's gender - I'm only guessing by how the vent/tail taper looks (I'll post about that as soon as I can get some more pics...).

I got 'him' from Regal Reptiles in Rhode Island, and he's completely black (aside from the two little white under chin spots that are typical in these snakes):

Its actually pretty hard to photograph a dark black snake (hard to get good exposure on the snake without bleaching out the rest of the photo...)

And here are those two chin spots (which I actually think are kind of cool)

on finding a good one. Hows his personality? Yeah those white spots under the chin are no biggie. They don't take anything away from beauty of the snake. Good luck.
