My go to spingtime blk rat spot

perfect for the local black rats, and whoever else decides to co-op the space (LOL). My father has an old shed on his property inhabited by "Gus", an enormous black rat who moved in about six years ago. Since his taking up residence, all of the mice and moles have simply vanished. I never know what I'll find in addition to Gus--old structures attract interesting creatures. All I know is that as long as Gus keeps eating, my dad won't touch the shed, which works for me!

Every spring I could find one or more blk rat[s]in and or round this house ..I have caught copperheads milks box turtles and different types of sallies all around this house.
My list for the shed is about the same. I've also found skinks, black kingsnakes, cornsnakes, and tree frogs & toads (although not all at the same time). My hope is to one day discover a big ol' pine snake just waiting to be my friend. The shed is in west Tennessee.

althea
