i used to live in cali i had 2 king 1 a striped and 1 banded both were caught in the wild. the were the very docile and easy to handle. when i moved to chicago i started to look at buying another cal. king but they were all aggressive and very jumpy. i just got a striped cal. and thought he was ok but he is so mean (would call him something else but want to keep it clean). is it because of imbreeding or maybe the climate, kind of confussing.

it depends on the snakes, they have different temperments some are docile some are aggressive. juvenile kings are usually a bit nippy. most aggressive snakes Iv'e had can be "tamed" by handling them with gloves for about 10 mins a day, unless they have eaten then give them 3-4 days off. hope this helps
