ASK Jan 24, 2005 07:24 PM

My leopard gecko has a bump right behind his front leg, and it feels as if it is filled with a liquid. He has water lots of food available to him and his tail is nice and fat. His roommate does not have the same thing. Any input would be great Thank you in advanced

It is probably a fat deposit. They store fat in various places. Is your gecko a little hefty? Try to post a picture if you can, but I don't think this is something you should really be too worried about.

def sounds like phatty armpit disease. j/k fat armpits are great! It means your leo is happy and healthy and well fed. give yourself a pat on the back. (If it doesn't look like the pic, let me know and post one of your own)

As I said in the title I am really gratefull I am a first time owner and I am glad that I am doing well I just got worried

ASK Jan 26, 2005 07:15 PM

It looks like it could be fatty deposit but it is bigger on the left side and there is only a slight bulge on the right. It feels like fat so I think that is what it is thank you if there is any thing wrong with 1 being larger than geckogrl6 pouches and the other one is litterally almost non existant. It doesnt seem to interfere with his walking, and he always has at least 5 mealy worms available and normally some meally worm beetles and normally some cricks so I think he is eatin well and the fat deposite could well be the cause. Thank you so much and if you could just spare like 2 more seconds and ease or not ease my paranoia I would love it thank you so much

hmmm. unusual. Don't think it's a problem, though. Prob just a nice quirk to your particular geck. As long as everything else is good, he's eating, pooping, etc. Don't worry about it! you are doing fine. But do take out the beetles, unless you're sure he's actually eating them. Most don't.
