I know this question comes up alot but i never can find an answer: How do you tell the difference between two snakes sexes? For that matter what about garter snakes? Thanks alot!

it's in the tail lengths. males have a longer tail from vent to tail than Females. the best way to sex them is to have an experienced person probe them, I actaully learned by watching the guy at a pet shop then practiced it on road kills. males probe farther than females. if it is a young snake you can "pop" it witch is forcing out, but VERY gently the snakes reproductive organs.
