As long as they are captive bred, you should be getting good frogs. Reptile swaps are where I get mine. You always get the best price and quality. Check "This Week's Reptile Events" for the one near you. When you inspect them, they should always be asleep. If it's broad daylight and there is one showing all it's colors and eyes for no apparent reason, that is the one NOT to get. It's way over stressed and not acting normal. The secret to mating pairs: RETF's are the total opposite of reptiles. I made that mistake and bought several females and one male thinking I could breed a lot. I found out later that females are stimulated by the courting of multiple males. So I have this male that rides on the back of all these females from time to time and none of the females are interested. It's cool, though...I love their color and enjoy them anyway.
