Sleeping time??

ejaquish Jan 25, 2005 03:05 AM

I was just wondering what time most collared's go to sleep or how much they normally sleep. I have had mine for a litte over a week now and they go hide and sleep around 4 in the afternoon. I dont know if this is because i bought them from someone on the east cost and that would be 7 here. Or, something is wrong and they just sleep too much. I get up at around 9 everyday for class and they are up. Should I set my light timer earlier or will they get used to it??

My lizard awakes 1 hour after lights turn on and goes to sleep 8-10 hours later.

I set the lights 7am to 7pm, so I could say that its normal that your lizard goes to sleep at 4.

A different time zone certainly affects your lizard routine.
Let your pet a couple weeks to adapt.

7-7 is what i have my timers set to also. 9 is a little late for them because in the wild the sun would have already been up for a while. mine also sometimes go to sleep at like 4 and sometimes they are up till the lights go out.
